Soccer Season

Our first soccer game of the season was this afternoon. Now folks this is some high-stakes soccer action. The Pink Ponies faced down the Purple Thunder. There was much anticipation and nail biting on the side lines as we waited to see which would come first...a goal, tears, or the announcement that we need to stop the game because someone lost a hairbow! (All three incidents happened within the first three minutes.)

Thus is the world of Under 6 Girls Soccer.

It doesn't get much cuter than the herd of girls trying to corral the ball into the goal. Most don't really know which goal to face. Although the Purple Thunder had the right idea because they posted a "Purple Thunder" sign at their goal and moved it to the other end at half-time. Most are just as happy playing princess on the sidelines as they are when it is their turn to be in the game.

And of course the best part of the game is the snacks afterward. Who cares that we won the game...there were cookies AND Teddy Grahams!

Watch out next week, the Pink Ponies will be taking on the Shooting Stars.
