Maybe not my most compassionate moment as a mom...
This weekend we were driving around. Dylan was quizzing me on polar bears. "Mom, do you know what polar bears eat?"
"Seals"
"Yes and do you know what else?"
"Fish"
"Yes and do you know what else?"
"I think that is it."
"Walruses too."
"I don't think so because they are too big and mean with those tusks."
"Oh, they just eat the baby ones....Do you know why they eat the babies."
"Because they are....delicious."
Like I said, maybe not my most compassionate moment as my children begin to wonder if they might also be considered delicious.
I just laughed until I cried. Thankfully, no walruses (or their babies) were harmed in the telling of this story.
