A Few Animals Were Harmed in the Making of this Paint Job

Painting became a contact sport with us. Unfortunately, not everyone came out unscathed. Take for instance this poor guy. We learned that when it is evening, and you paint with doors open to air out, but have lights on inside, bugs come in. He came in to take a look around, and his legs got stuck in the paint. I was able to pull off his little body, but his legs stayed as a tribute.
You know why else is attracted to the lights? June bugs. This was a little like the Hotel California for bugs. You can check in anytime you like, but you can never leave.

This next one didn't get stuck, but he did receive quite a tattoo. A "latte" letter if you will.

Someone else was branded...

"What me? I don't know what you are talking about. I was never even near that freshly painted baseboard. Oh, that stripe on my backside? I just got some highlights put in; what do you think?"
